Emma-Kate Dewhurst provides District-wide leadership for Occupational Therapy (OT), Diversional Therapy, and Equipment Services.

She has over 20 years’ experience in Australia and the UK, leading clinical services across acute, sub-acute, outpatient and community settings. 

The experienced team of ISLHD Occupational Therapists (OTs) work in partnership with patients to maximise independence in their activities of everyday life, enhance safety and optimise their quality of life. OTs support patient flow through the hospital and facilitate patient discharge. They provide clinical services across our hospitals, community health centres and in the home environment.
